warned boss I may have siezure and he ignores. I proceed to have siezure in back of truck trailer.

I unload trucks at a large retail distribution center. (Opposite of walmart) I applied to be a forklift driver. Unfortunately they said an employee that had been there for years got priority for that spot, and that by the time my 90 days of training in other areas they will have a spot open. I would have had to start out unloading trucks no matter what basically. Not a huge deal since it's temporary. We switch out/rotate every other day so that one day your in a truck, the next your using a scanner inside the building receiving the packages. Well, after being in the back of a truck unloading for two weeks straight, I start to notice everyone Is rotating but me. I'm put at different docks, but still unloading. I applied to be a forklift driver.

The first week I was there I realized that it was so hot that the heat was messing with me. I take medication that makes me very sensitive to extreme (95+ degrees depending on if I'm exerting myself or not)

I went to my supervisor and told him that I will have a siezure if I continue to strain myself to meet quota in 100+ degrees.

He told me basically tough luck and the only way I'm getting moved is with a note saying I'm sensitive to heat.

Understandable. I explain that I can provide that but until I'm able to get to the Dr to do so could I please not be in the trucks. Like a week tops. He told me I just needed to get used to being there becsuee until he has a note, that's where I will be.

So every day I keep getting put in the trucks. It's reaching 120 degrees in them. I weigh 110. I'm female. I'm strong, but not lift 60 lbs over my head 400 times a night strong.

I told him he was being unreasonable and that i was going to spwak with HR. He told me that was fine but not on his time. I could use my break or come in early.

I also told him that if this was going to be where I would be until I was able to get a note, I would have to quit. He said “thats fine, I can walk you through the resignation process and you can put in your two weeks notice.”

I nearly lost it laughing in his face! I said ” HA! Are you going to give me a 2 weeks notice before you fire me? I don't think so. Since there is no respect here I don't feel obligated to give notice. I will simply work here until I find something better and then not show up.”

He just looked at me and walked off.

He has it out for me at this point. Claiming my numbers are low, when he has to come to me 3 times a night to tell me to slow down becauee the machine, relievers and sorters are having a hard time keeping up. So the line shuts off. Cutting into my numbers.

He came to tell me I was doing poorly and I thought that was odd because another super said I was doing fantastic. I asked if those numbers reflect the down time from everyone having to keep up…he said no. I then said “well how can that be accurate, and how can I be held accountable when it's literally out of my hands?” 2 hours later he comes over all smiles and congratulates me for superseding my quota. I roll my eyes. He walks away.

I asked him why he would put me on trucks that I genuinely cannot unload. They know what's on all the trucks before they come in. He didn't like that and said not to tell him how to do his job.

Fast forward to 2 days ago. I finally decide iv had enough and I call HR. They were PISSED! They said they were going to have a long talk with him and his whole management team. I told her that if I were a supervisor, and a young lady came to me and said that she needed to temporarily be in a cooler spot in the warehouse due to a pretty serious health condition, i would absolutely put her somewhere else until she could provide a note in a week or so. I wouldnt want that to happen under my watch and if she was going to have to learn that position within 90 days anyway…what's the harm?

That was before my shift for the day started.

I go in and notice that supervisor is not there. Odd but maybe just coincidence. Still don't know. Anyway, I'm yet again put in a hot ass truck. Drinking plenty of water and not going to hard. Next thing I know I feel someone's arms around my rib cage. I'm being dragged. Someone is saying “it's OK, I got you. I saw everything. You had a siezure and hit your head hard. But I got you don't worry.”

He was walking past the trailer and glanced in and saw me standing next to the conveyor shaking with my eyes rolled back. He came running and got there right as I fell pretty much.

I fucking had a siezure just like I said I would.

I don't remember anything, or how long I was out.

I was sent to med and they called an ambulance.

I came to work the next day and everyone was surprised. I shouldn't have. I was in a hot truck and my head was throbbing so I went home at lunch.

The guy that helped me quit on the spot when he found out they put me in a truck the day after i had a siezure. Said it was inhumane

It was 115 in there that day I think.

Supervisor wasn't there again either.

So yeah. Sorry it was so long and thanks for reading
