Tired of it all. This is why the “just get a job” rhetoric is stupid. Applied to every establishment for every position nearby under the sun and the only one that was willing to hire even gave me a schedule and shit. Told me that I needed to have my ID eventually in order to get paid but couldn't get my ID since I'm literally homeless with no money and no birth certificate. Anyways, the next day I came in to work, they told me that I needed to leave because I didn't have an ID and just handed me $50 cash out of the register. Their reasoning? The last time they let someone work too long without an ID, they turned out to be an “illegal” and technically they weren't supposed to pay me (even though they did anyways and I worked a full eight hours). Isn't that illegal? What the fuck I can't even sell my soul anymore?
