Long story short, freelancer here in the av industry (build screens for events, run video, projection mapping, corporate video, cameras, etc)
Been tired of the lack of consistency and not having a guaranteed income. Mentioned to some of the companies that hire I had a lot of available dates, one big big company friend offered a FT job
Went for interview met owner everything was great, only thing is they asked me how much I’d like to make yearly and I didn’t wanna give number I’d regret later on the spot…
Now they reply They want another interview after I was following up about the offer but now I feel like this is not professional since they already mentioned they would get back to me with an offer, now apparently another owner wants to meet me and now I feel turned down buy having to go all the way there (more than two hours commute round trip and my broke ass has no car)
Feel like just completely career changing and working from home
Is it bad to put your mental health before making more money?
Thanks for anyone who cares to reply.
