To make a long story short, I have been working mostly remotely for a company assisting with their transition into a new space. This entails writing the backend of a new system and training among other things. I sustained an injury that I need surgery for, and against Dr's orders have been going into the location for on site assistance despite being in a good deal of pain. Not only that, I have not had any semblance of a regular schedule- I'm either on site or remote, and when they have scheduled me it has been outside my availability which I provided them months in advance.
To the “Resignation” bit, I did not reply but the message didn't seem to warrant one. I never said I quit or resigned. I'm getting the feeling they don't want to negotiate terms since I've been GROSSLY underpaid- I'm making a quarter of what I ought to be- but thus here has me pretty mad. Because the owner “forgot” our conversation, not only am I being penalized, but it's affected the staff as well.
I have repeatedly told them I am available for remote assistance. Anything that needs to be taken care of is something I can do from home, but I'll be damned if I hobble in on crutches and- what?- make martinis?
I'm adding pictures of our texts for clarity. I could really use some advice.
Oh and before I forget- yes it's true I wasn't available Saturday (the owners message to me is all kinds of wack) BUT I had requested that Saturday off MONTHS in advance and was out of town and could not answer my phone, which is why I sent then the helpline. They knew this.
