I went out to lunch with my dad, aunt and uncle today at a restaurant in Bandera, TX. We got seated right away but the waitress told us immediately that the kitchen staff is behind on orders. No big deal for us, it’s just more time to visit. A while later a lady (not our waitress) came by to get our salad plates and apologized for the wait on the food.
Again, no big deal. As tends to happen in small towns like Bandera she stood there and talked to us. Well I should say she stood there and complained at us about how they can’t find anyone to work! I thought to myself “here we go” and here we went. Turns out she was the manager.
She wanted to assure us that she’s a good boss but she doesn’t put up with any crap. She just can’t understand why they are having a high turnover. My aunt asked how much they are paying an hour. $12.00 to start, but you can get a raise quickly once you show you can perform! Like, what the actual heck.
Yeah, they can’t find anyone to work. There was much more that she had to say, but it’s all the same stuff you’ve heard a million times now.
The steak wasn’t even that good. lol
