Just a rant. My wife and I started working from home since COVID hit, and it's been great. We barely felt the whole mess and really enjoy spending the whole day together.
Now the numbers are falling, and the company she works in wants to see everyone back in the office, for the usual idiotic reasons: “our culture is office based”, “we love to hang out”, the usual bullshit. Which is utterly ridiculous, since only a handful of people are actually going right now (around 10-20 out of 700 people). Their productivity has increased, everything is going smoothly, but the management can't manage to be in their homes, and soon everyone will be forced to go back to the old ways. To top it off, her colleague died recently from COVID. Everyone was acting really concerned for a week and now they couldn't care less.
I can barely put in words how much I hate those people forcing bullshit on workers. Fucking killers, nothing less.
