I want to personally thank everyone who took the time to take the 2023 Employee Engagement Survey.
Xxxxxx Xxxxx had a 90% participation rate, one of the highest rates across XXXXX.
Xxxxxx Xxxxx's favorability was 60%. Favorability measures questions that were answered with a score of 4(agree) or 5(strongly agreed). Engagement was 44%. Engagement measures team members' engagement based on six engagement index questions.
We have work to do to bring our engagement score up. I am committed to ensuring we focus on employee engagement to increase overall engagement.
The following immediate actions include town hall meetings over the next few weeks at each site/function to review site-specific/functional engagement scores. Then, action planning will take place throughout May, with a report to the executive team on the intended focus areas of each site and function.
I appreciate those that took the engagement survey voicing their opinions. Although we have a lot of work to do to increase engagement, we can get there if we focus on improving engagement through actions and working as a team.

I'm not sure what “engagement” means, or why our “satisfaction” survey turned into an “engagement”survey. It probably means we're not happy enough working just to make money for our corporate overlords. It will be interesting to see what happens in these Townhall meetings.
