A relative of mine is in a situation where he's not satisfied with his job and has been trying to work out some other job where he can make a living. He doesn't want to work for a boss and hates customer facing work. He doesn't have office work experience, but doesn't like the idea of sitting down at a desk and following office politics. His current job isn't customer-facing, but it doesn't pay a lot either. For years he's been throwing the idea ball around with me and other people he talks to, the two big ones that he was trying to work on are professional musician and professional poker player. But they aren't very reliable and also are highly competitive areas since most people trying these things won't make money from it at all. What are some other good options for him? Jobs that involve driving aren't an option because he doesn't have a driver's license.
