I’ve been working at my new company for almost a month and want to run away. Stuff like lack of or no training being provided to me, lack of support, pointless meetings, senior coworkers and managers dumping all of their work onto you and expecting you to do it “their way” with no training given, disorganisation, coworkers working through lunch breaks or not taking lunch breaks at all, poor communication, meetings going over schedule with coworkers having no respect of your time, managers eyeing your computer screen as they walk past, a culture of people staying back late to finish work etc. There is so much wrong with this company, it’s a complete shit show. I have never felt so stressed in my life.
I’m early in my career and find it difficult to distinguish if this is normal. Are all workplace like this? I have an incredibly high work ethic but I’m losing hope.
This is not the workplace I imagined this new company to be when I joined. I did experience red flags during the interview process but I failed to listen to my gut instincts. I escaped a toxic workplace and have ended back in an even more toxic environment. I feel like leaving without even giving notice.
