What benefits do you look for at a job?

Besides decent pay, what do you want? I’ve seen posts from Amazon workers saying that they can’t even go to the bathroom, and have to pee in bottles or something. Then we have the railroad workers who don’t get sick leave (even unpaid, if the news stories are correct). What are some of the weirder things that you never thought of at first? I’d like to see some professional development training (or at least reimbursement) for every employee. Not just for their job title, but for any position above them in the same/similar department. That way, the employer could promote from within rather than a rando outside the company that doesn’t know the people/systems. I took a certification test on my own dime that directly relates to my job and higher position, but my boss wouldn’t reimburse me because it “isn’t really needed or expected of someone in my position.” I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t have it either.
