What can I do to get actual results?

About 5 years ago my company did a reorganization in my area. During this reorg they took the responsibilities of a L6 (level 6) position split the workload between 2 positions (which had additional responsibilities as well) and now ranked the positions at a L2 (level 2) I was one of these people. I did not know at the time that I was taking on L6 tasks at a L2 pay scale and ranking! The company presented this as a “lateral” move so I didn’t get any kind of bump in pay and it was said it was because I was going from one L2 to another L2 position. Years later I need a job description to provide to my doctor and I received the description for a different L2 position. I made it known that the job description I was given did not apply to me and I was told that it is just a blanket description for the L2 role. It did not note a single key responsibility I am currently responsible for. Nothing noted outside of the basic “customer service” basic office duties under requirements applied but it noted payroll and other key responsibilities of a different role. A specific role. I was told another reason it applied to me is because I back up that other role for some of those key duties. Backup! Not own!

I went online and searched my actual position (which in my area no longer “exists” even though within systems I am noted as owning this role) and I found it. My exact job but out of Mexico. The job description is a perfect description of what I do and what programs I use. I actually do additional tasks to what is noted. The job, my job was labeled as a level 6 position!
I know Mexico is another country BUT I asked the person who once did my job prior to the reorganization what level they held at that time and they confirmed it was a L6 role. At the time of the reorg that person had their workload cut in half but had to take on some additional tasks and was now a level 3. Reminder, I was doing the same exact job but again, pay was level 2.
Not all of the US has done this reorg so some people are still doing my exact job but for a bigger area and are a level 6 meanwhile I am a level 2.
I feel so used. I feel like I need to fight this but I know big companies have so many excuses & safeties in place to protect them so they can do crap like this.
What do I do? Can I do anything??
