I doubt this, but am I of the few who outright quit a job on a day where I have my financial bearings, rather than waiting and providing a two week notice?
Don’t get me wrong, if I’m leaving an employer I was on affable terms with, I’d definitely provide a notice. But at the same time, if I’m somewhere I’m treated like crap, I wait until the date of the check I need going into the next month as my new opportunity starts the week after or even few days from that date.
I know in cases like this, I can get labor involved when it comes to a former employer’s retaliation for quitting and such, but I just wanted to know if others performed this practice as well.
I just find it really ironic, in my area, they expect you to pay $1500 for a one bedroom, when all the local jobs and ones in the metropolitan area pay no more than $13 an hour for a STARTING wage.
