What happens if u call in sick for a day off that you were denied 2 months ago?

I requested to take off May 26th because found out we're going to Maryland Sent the request in, and denied because 2 of my backups are out too taht day. I plan to call in sick that day now. I can easily get a doctor's note so I can be prepared
