I've been offered a job that I'm really excited about. The job description states that an “acceptable driving record” is required.
I have a reckless driving conviction, the offense date was in December 2019 (3 years and 4 months ago), but the case wasn't settled until June 2020 (2 years and 11 months ago). Otherwise I have a clean record. I'm 34 years old.
I've heard that three years is the magic number for background checks… Would that be three years from the date of the offense? Or three years from the date of the conviction?
