What is the price of your principles?

To explain the title: i work an entry-level specialist IT support job. The company is small but does right by its employees. I haven't even been working there a year, and I've gotten two raises totalling ~15%, putting me above the average pay rate in my field. I spend a lot of time on the road, but I don't mind that, I prefer it to being on the helpdesk. But i got an offer for another job. About the same commute, fully internal IT support, and a salary increase of ~35%, But it's one of the Evil Empires™. I expect there would be none of the flexibility i enjoy with my current employer (leaving early once a week for my kid's after school stuff, for instance). That extra pay could make a substantial difference in my family's life, though. Anyone else find themselves in this situation? Did your principles win,…
