I think my boss's motto is 'too many cooks spoil the broth' because they always try to do everything themselves, and end up making a big mess which is why we are short-staffed and struggling to meet the unachievable targets. (This might look like a rant) My boss must have a photographic memory because they never bother to write anything down. Unfortunately, they also have selective memory because they always seem to forget everything they were supposed to do. I asked for leave for vacation and got it approved. Once I was on my vacation, my boss called my private number and asked where I am. He claimed he has too much to think about and stuff like leaves will slip through his head. He will still want every leave notice to pass through his office, DOESNT MAKE SENSE TO ME.
His favorite phrase is 'that's not my job' except when it comes to taking credit for other people's work like when I poached a competitor's big client and got a 12K Sale, which he claimed was his during the shareholder meeting. I heard my boss say 'I trust my team' and I couldn't help but laugh because it was so obvious that he didn't trust anyone at all cause if anyone falls sick on a Monday or Friday, he video calls us to check if our 'face looks sick'
It really got me thinkin about the psychology of bad leadership. WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS? This video explained a bit but then again, I don't know why.
Can I improve my situation without leaving? No right?
