What social or economic system do you believe is the answer?

Originally I was going to make a post asking about change. There's been posts and comments on this sub before about whether or not America can do what France has done. And I expected the usual answers. People fear police brutality, they fear losing their jobs if they go on strike or are seen protesting, politics are beyond corrupt, etc. But what would we be fighting for if we were to? Do people just want a 32 hour work week? Do people want better pay in general? Better healthcare? More days off work? While all of those sound good, maybe we should go further. Essentially, I want to know all the ideas and beliefs people have of what America should be. Should there be Universal Basic Income? Should we drop capitalism to explore, what? What economic system can we use instead? Should we be more locally oriented instead of globally…

Whatever the answer, I don't believe it's capitalism. That has to change imo. Poverty is necessary for capitalism. And that alone is wrong. A system that worships money at the expense of human lives and the planet's health is not progress. So what does progress look like to you?

Because I genuinely don't know. I'm not as educated on politics, economics, infrastructure, or society as Id like to be. Because of that, my personal solution is just to get a tiny house and live in the woods the way I want and ignore the world's issues. Get some solar, generator, a well, maybe learn to grow some food, and a simple flex or optional shift kinda job. That's my answer because I've given up on change. But I'd like to be inspired and believe there's solutions for everyday people struggling and fighting the same way I am.

Add: I'd like to keep it civil as well please. No need to bash or attack someone for their beliefs. Simply inform, discuss, and calmly debate if need be.
