What US workers need to know

im making this post because i think US workers need to see this. i work in a euopean country. we have: -5 weeks paid vacation -paid sick leave (min 24 days a year without doctors note, 1 year with doctors note) -1 year maternity leave -min wage $20 -near immunity against being fired -minimum 1 month notice when quitting or being laid off -paid training -protected by laws even when working without contract -mandated pension fund ++ depending on field of work how did we get it ? unions im not a fan of most unions, there is always going to be thing i agree with and things i disagree with but in the end, they are the reason we get paid to work and benefits. often they come across as the guys trying to protect people who dont want to work, making it worse for everyone else. however i…

how did we get it ?

im not a fan of most unions, there is always going to be thing i agree with and things i disagree with but in the end, they are the reason we get paid to work and benefits.

often they come across as the guys trying to protect people who dont want to work, making it worse for everyone else. however i have come to realize that thats just not true. it have happened but for the most part the unions are workers staying together forcing the eployers to treat their workers as humans.

why people in the US havent revolted long time ago baffles me. you have absolutely nothing to loose and everything to gain.

noone* is going to loose out and be stripped of pay or benefits, everyone gets a better deal.

*an exeptional few wil loose out because they are highly capable of proving their worth and manipulating their eployer to pay them and for the most part they still wil even with unionizing.
