Security guard here.
I work at a utilities site where my job duties where to patrol the area and check if all doors are locked. The patrols would take me 10 minutes to complete so in actuality I only did 30 minutes of real work. The rest of the time I was sitting down and opened the front gate occasionally to let workers in if they forgot their badge. I only see my boss every other week and the workers don't bother me. So most of my time I am on my phone or playing my Steam Deck to pass the time in between patrols. Who else has a job like this where they feel like they are mostly doing nothing?
