It's horrid to see the minimum wage at 7.25 despite attempts to raise it multiple times. (Thanks Sinema)!
Everywhere on the corporate ladder, people are robbed of wages or paid less but made to work more than needed. When will this change?
But, executives do get their bonuses, and hefty stock rewards despite how shitty their leadership ends up being. Rules for me but no rules for thee, apparently.
I'm in tech so I am pretty sure no one is going to fight this battle because everyone is too stressed and anxious as it is with the layoffs. But I wonder if the rest of the industries start to heavily push back, unionize aggressively, and demand fair wages, would a change happen?
When and what will it take to tackle the greed of the companies, shareholders, policticians who are paid for by them? Voting despite being effective has been lower than it should be. Will that change with the new generation?
I just want people to have a living wage for God's sake. That isn't too much to ask for in the wealthiest country on the planet. And the cherry on top, healthcare is a disaster, so welp.
