As someone who works at a famous retail jewelry store, I have cried twice AT WORK and gotten yelled at four times in the past month.
This comes from a someone who hardly ever cries over things strangers say.
Like sorry we ran out of pieces in stock one day before Christmas. Sorry for not carrying a large jewelry box from the back of the store to the front of the store where you were standing just to show it to you while bumping into every customer packed in the store. Sorry for not letting you into the store because it was jam packed and you had to stand in the cold (as was I for an hour at the point). Sorry for even existing.
Idk why I’ve cried and sobbed even though it isn’t my fault and I’m not this sensitive. It’s frustrating as I’d never treat another person like this (even before working as a retailer).
