Why are there so many Micromanaging Middleman Managers around? Why would a company screw every other peon but not one person who does even less work?

I thought about it, and it hit me that the concept of giving extra benefits/paying one peon more in exchange for enforcing upon the other peons is still prevalent. Maybe that’s why those MMM’s can be so motivated on little shit. To keep them in line, because they’ll work or face death/termination, depending what century you’re in. One person who’s been beaten down and seems morally flexible, to get a taste of something better and assert the will of the company in exchange for that step up. And they like it, so they be a good soldier. And they want more, and then to that person the company’s successes start to genuinely feel like their own…. Crazy shit man… hits blunt
