Hey all! been lurking for a while in this sub (to be honest it’s because the idea of not working has always been outlandish to me) and I was wondering why y’all are so against hiring at 15? I myself am 15 and got a job at 14 last year on my own accord because I needed the money and my state has pretty strict child labor laws. I can leave this job at any time and work in a few other places and I am doing the same job I’d be doing if I were older, but this allows me to get a bit of a jumpstart with experience and a couple grand in savings. For me it is a great situation, even if the job sucks, work was never meant to be heaps of fun and I get to be occupied when I’m not at school, I get paid a dollar over minimum wage. Just genuinely curious what y’all are opposed to. Thanks!
