Why do employers not understand they don’t own you as a person??

I looked into an accounting job that happened to be for a bike shop. They said they wanted the candidate to spend time riding bikes in their free time and for it to be a part of their “lifestyle”. They also said, with what was previously said, that the candidate would be around people with similar interests. If I go to school for accounting, have experience in accounting, and I apply for an accounting role, why should that involve me riding bikes in my free time. Why should riding bikes become my identity? Is this some kind of a bike cult lol? Like, you hire someone to do a job, with a certain skill set appropriate to the job at hand, you pay them for services provided, and they go home. I’m just imagining going to my CPA in a few months and telling her I can no longer allow…

I’m just imagining going to my CPA in a few months and telling her I can no longer allow her to prepare my taxes unless she loves to cook simply because I do.
