I like my boss, I do but damn can I just have a day without him punishing me. My child is sick with the flu. My day off is in the middle of the week and my child is sick today. My boss does this thing where if you don’t work a schedule day you should work your unscheduled day. It’s like a knife being driven into my alone time. My child is school age and it is the only day I get to be by myself. I can’t help that he is sick, I want to use my PTO but now the dreaded “can you work your day off instead for missing a day” text. Off course I agree malicious compliance. Now I’ll be working 6 days in a row through to Christmas with no break.
