I work as a cashier in a grocery store making $15 an hour. A bag of cherries at our store is $8 per pound and rings up for $18-21. It’s not even organic. This one bag of generic cherries is worth more than an hour of my life. Multiple customers have asked me to remove the cherries from their order because that is ridiculous. It’s not even the cherries specifically that are pissing me off… it’s the cost of groceries (and living) in general.
