Why I quit my most recent job after 3 weeks.

I am a 25 year old adult who has been working in cafes for 10 years, and have been managing them for the past 5 years. A couple months ago I started working at a popular cafe and I was being treated like a child by one of the owners. I believe he’s sexist because he treated me as if I don’t know anything. He (bear with me, I hate this term) mansplained everything. He made sure to “show me” how to change the trash bags and how to mop. He even had to ask me if I know how to mop. (Even if I for some reason never mopped the cafes I’ve worked in for the past 10 years, I still own my own house and live on my own) I worked here for about 3 weeks and then I got strep throat. I worked here for about 3 weeks and then I got strep throat. I called in and was told that I had to find coverage for my shift and that I’m “stressing out the staff” for calling in. I had only been working here for 3 weeks so I didn’t have anybody’s contact, but also I was sick in bed and didn’t have the energy to call every single one of my coworkers so I didn’t call around for coverage.

The next day, still sick, and again was chewed out for not finding coverage. I asked for a contact list the day before and wasn’t given one so I don’t know how they expected me to find coverage.

So I quit. And then I was told that I needed to find coverage for the rest of my shifts that week…
