On the topic of raises on Reddit, about all I can find are “How to ask for a raise” or “Should I ask for a raise?” even from this subreddit of all places! You've worked there for a(nother) year. They haven't fired you. You're obviously getting the job done. You're given no raise. Now you're supposed to put yourself through some humiliating groveling experience so that your boss can be amused seeing you beg and still end up with no raise or a miniscule one. Your boss already knows what you've done and you're telling them, which is why you're still working there. Why should you even have to think about asking for a raise instead of just being given one by default because increased rent and living expenses, duh?
