I’ve been searching for a part time remote admin position for a few months now to support medical bills from fertility treatments. I have a full time job. I have my Master’s degree. I never dreamed this would be so hard.
Why are so many people out there trying to scam job seekers? I unfortunately fell for one last year so I’ve learned the signs. When a company tells you that they’ll send you money/check to buy your supplies (computer, printer, etc.) from their designated vendor – DON’T DO IT.
Also, why are so many people against utilizing the freelance platforms? I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten project proposals that require communication outside of the platform and payment through a different source.
I know there’s no answer to my “whys” but damn, it’s getting discouraging.
