So my wife works at a very VERY large and wealthy online retailer. She started during the pandemic, so everyone was remote. Said employer just told us a month ago that we HAVE to relocate to where there is an office… in the next 3 months.
The part about this that pisses me off is that she is already paid MUCH less than she would make at other companies on that same level. But mostly, because we are expected to go find a house when interest rates are so damn high.
Most other companies have hiring freezes, so it’s not like she can just go work for one of them. Makes me never want to buy stuff on “Shmamazon” again. (Company name changed to protect privacy)
