Hi, typing isn’t my strong point so please bare with, I started a new job in hospitality in September, originally they were looking to hire one person but ended up hiring me and another person who we will name (G), (G) basically got the job and I’m just here for 10 months to cover a coworker who is on maternity leave, but I’ll add that when I was signing the contract for the short term I got told that if anything changes/ a spot opens up I will then get a full time permanent position, anyways a couple weeks ago my boss comes to me wanting a chat and has a list of things I’ve been doing at work wrong, for some reason they couldn’t call me out on it at the time? I got into trouble as I was still struggling with the coffee aspect (I was asking for help with making coffees) as I only work 2 shifts a week and only got an hour training I found it hard making said coffees as there’s like 12 different ones we sell and they all require different coffee shots and milk and all that, he basically said if I don’t get better he’ll find someone else, never had a catch up with me either, anyways one of my coworkers is leaving and he’s hired someone else already, didn’t even offer me a chance, I feel as if I’m not wanted at my work anymore and I got told I’d get more shifts but I’ve only got one shift this week, would I be best just keeping this job but looking elsewhere? I’m very put off my job since this and even in general my work place is all over the place and never that organised, I also wasn’t allowed to go to an emergency doctors appointment because I work “full time”? Which is BS because again I only work 2 times a week, any advice would be great and sorry if this is a mess.
