work paying new highers more then their existing superiors

Some background information both me and my coworker who I'll refer to as Ω used to work for company x while I was working for company x. Company x lost the contract with our primary business partner and I ended up going to business y who got the contract. While other coworkers and I were negotiating wages with company y company y wanted to pay us less but by fighting tooth and nail we were able to get a small pay increase out of it. Now Ω was forced out of company x by way of being told to quit or be fired. Turns out Ω is being paid a full $1 more than me.

When I brought this up to my manager and requested a pay raise I was basically told ” We are looking at everyone's wages. Thank-you for bringing this to my attention”

I'm annoyed because our of everyone including mangers I am the most experienced at my job, I have the highest seniority (factoring in company x). There have been several times I'm out in a tight spot because I'm the only person on shift who has a security clearance (everyone else is pending). Meaning there are times I need to do the job of 3.
