i'm work in massachusetts and during a massive winter storm where we were dealing with negative degree and single digit temperatures, our heat kicked the bucket. this was beginning of january. since then our building temperature dropped to 42 degrees. we were all huddled in the back office around a space heater 99% of the time we were working. we wore coats, hats and gloves to work. customers called corporate complaining about severely cold temperatures.
several of us got severely ill. i got a severe sinus infection, so did two other coworkers, one coworker of mine already has terrible health conditions and could not work.
our heat was finally fixed as of march 3. so over two months without heat. we heard rumors of our corporate paying us hazard pay of $100 but i think we deserve more. what can we do?
