Working after hours – boundary setting

I used to be a people pleaser at work but now a bully boss is back from maternity leave, I have realised my hard work counts for nothing and I am being taken advantage of. I don’t have contact with the boss, just taking direction through my manager. Today my manager asked me to do a task requested by the boss, I said I couldn’t because I had an urgent project due, she begged me to, so I did it, sent at 7pm (outside of 9-5 working hours), she checked at 8pm and asked me to finalise it then and there (for context I work in marketing) but I’m going to wait till morning because they don’t respect boundaries. I’m usually a people pleaser so feeling torn but they need to take the hint that I can’t keep working overtime every night and weekend forever. Any advice for this situation?…

About to break from the extra work the boss is creating, I can’t complete it all and meet deadlines, and go to upper management.
