I have to commute to work in the dark, and I have to leave work when it's dark. I rarely see daylight during weekdays. I have to run errands when it's dark as well. I live above the 45th parallel so Winters are very dark here. The summers make up for it though.
Honestly, the only thing I dislike about winter are people who say those pointless “I hate Winter motherf**ers on the most beautiful evening on their lives*” memes. Like seriously, it's overcast as hell where I live.
If you live in a cold climate, you have to prepare everything in advance as the roads will be icy. Thus making driving dangerous. If you have to drive, you have to de-ice your car every time.
