Working like 3 people

So I have been with my job for 6 years total. Started as an MA. There used to be 6 employees today. 2 MA’s 1 front desk. 1 insurance verifier (which happens to be the boss’s mother) and another insurance verifier with added task and an office manager. Currently there’s only 4 of us. 2 MA’s 1 front desk and myself (the manager) the mom is always out taking vacations meaning I had to verify insurance and all the other things the second person would take. I have typed up requesting an increase in salary. Do you think I should send it now? Am I wrong? Are they? What do you all think? Currently there’s only 4 of us. 2 MA’s 1 front desk and myself (the manager) the mom is always out taking vacations meaning I had to verify insurance and all the other things the second person would take.

I have typed up requesting an increase in salary. Do you think I should send it now? Am I wrong? Are they? What do you all think?

Dear (insert boss's name here),
I would like to discuss my current salary for the following
reasons:
• 2 years of experience in the role of office manager
• Performing additional responsibilities from an employee
that has been absent for more than 2 months
• Increased workload
• Increased inflation rate
On June 30″. 2020, I was hired by you as an office manager
and received the hourly pay of ($ add here). I have been
fulfilling this role for 2 years now. In November 2021, I
succeeded in passing my certification exam and received the
hourly wage of (S add here). Although it is currently August,
believe that I have earned an additional salary increase before
November
In the past, the office manager was assisted by two other
employees performing various tasks. One of those employees
was completing insurance verification and the other was
completing insurance verification, authorizations, referrals,
medical records, and other assigned duties. Recently, I have
assumed the job role of three employees. Currently, my
coworker that should be sharing these tasks works about 4-5
months out of the year and struggles to complete one assigned
responsibility. She had planned on being absent for 2 months
and has now been gone for 4 months. Due to the increase in
workload, I have expressed my frustrations with your choice to
not hire another employee. When I brought this to your
attention, the response was that we do not need anyone else,
which I do not agree with.
I am seeking a pay increase of 15% which is also including
the inflation rate of 9.1%, which acknowledges my additional
workload and reduces the possibility of needing to hire someone
else. Should you change your mind about hiring another
employee, then I will only be seeking a pay increase of 10%.
According to Indeed, the national average for a medical office
manager is $24.30/hour, with top earners making around
$34/hour. I believe that my request for an increase of 15% (or
10% with hired employee) is fair based on my skill set,
knowledge, and experience in this company.
From my hiring date and acceptance of this position,
strongly believe that my salary increase is well overdue. I would
also like to note that during my scheduled vacation, this
coworker will not be back to cover insurance verification.
Unfortunately, I am in serious need of vacation time and will not
be available to do any work during that time period. This will be
detrimental to the functioning of this office. If you need
someone to work during that time, the increase mentioned above
will be a high motivation tool.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I have
appreciated my time with this company and look forward to
continue working together.
Regards,
