I'm doing my best. I really am. But I have a significant chronic illness that makes my day-to-day so difficult. I tried holding down a full time job. It caused such a severe flare-up of symptoms that I ended up in the hospital.
I've been trying to find jobs since that happened in March. And it just got me thinking, are there programs/systems in place for people like me who are too disabled to work a full time job but are still able and willing to work part time? I want to work. There's a lot of things I'm good at and I want to have a paycheck coming in. I just physically can not do many of the jobs out there and for whatever reason I can't even get an interview from the jobs I have applied to.
I'm frustrated. I'm paying for healthcare out of pocket just to try to keep myself afloat but a part time job won't help with that. Idk, I guess I don't really know what I'm saying. I'm tired. It's been months of me applying to jobs I think I can handle. Hundreds at this point. Not even an interview. I'm running out of money. If I pick up a job I can't handle I'll get some money but probably end up in the hospital again. And I hate being in this position. I'm not the only one, there's lots of chronically ill and disabled people who are really being given a tough time with the current state of affairs.
