Got in an accident at work, I’m a baker and a commercial mixer (~200lbs) fell over and completely smashed my toe, I had surgery to get it partially amputated yesterday, I have been in excruciating pain and medicine isn’t helping. Partly I just need to vent about how ignorant and stupid this is on the part of the business but it’s a small business and unfortunately doesn’t have to follow osha. I have a high pain tolerance and have been sick throwing up and crying it hurts so bad, workers comp is in progress but is there anything else I can do to be compensated for this? I’m gonna be out of work for 2+ months…
