Workplace gossiping is making me feel uncomfortable.

I (F 25) graduated college last year with a friend I met through one of my classes. We ended up working together once we graduated as she referred me as she had found this corporate job first as i was still searching (This is my first big job outside of college). During the last bit of our classes we met due to having to re-take a class. I would just consider her a friend i talk to once in a while, not typically a 'friend' i trust with my life or would talk to on the daily and be my entire true self with. We work remotely still and are still a relatively small team. There is my manager, myself, my friend (let's call her Amanda), another girl named Jennifer (The gossiper and sarcastic one), and three other women.

During the mornings we have a meeting via zoom and just let the manager know what we have on for the day. I've noticed during the day if Amanda or Jennifer are annoyed or dealing with an issue regarding the platform we use, or calling specific places to get more information regarding the task, they end up just bitching in the main group chat about things, and i don't partake in it, i just get on with my work.

Lately things have been super busy with Amanda and I working together yet having our own task list of duties to do. I'm managing to do quite well and get through all of my tasks although it does take me around 8-10 hours daily to get through everything. i don't mind this as i like my job and i like what i do. My boss has noticed that i've been working 10 hours some days and 8 hours others, and he asked if i could just work 8 hours. This is fine, as i've never really had a talk with him about my hours it just started increasing with the workload i was getting and i would document it on my timesheet when i would finish.

I stupidly told this to Amanda on a zoom call we had as i was needing help with something and showing her, and i just said that i'm working 8 hours for the day, and she thought my manager asked me to work more hours as i'm only casual and get paid more than her. (She works permanent part time, but she chose this). Then Amanda kept trying to get information saying “ohhhhh so how much do you make a week? how much do you earn after tax' and i was kind of vague. Then around half an hour goes by and Amanda writes in another group chat with Her, myself and Jennifer are only in. Amanda goes “Hey OP what happened to all of the incentives and bonus pay our manager was meant to give us *laughing emoji*. and i just read it and rolled my eyes (irl) and said idk anything about that. and then Jennifer chimed in saying that she told the HR lady the 'pay was sh*t' and then i didn't really say much but im assuming Amanda went straight to Jennifer, and they talk about me? saying that I was working more hours than them and getting more? After this a little while goes by and i had asked my manager for help on a task, and then after we sorted it out he wrote to me on zoom ' can u only work 8 hours plz' and i just agreed and said yes, can do.

So now i have been working only eight hours and logging off as soon as it hits 5pm.

Another thing i noticed on the zoom video call Jennifer ratted out Amanda by saying “Amanda why don't you just turn the case file into someone elses name like you always do” and i thought it was so awkward? It seems like highschool over again. Amanda has obviously told Jennifer she places cases into other people's names if she doesn't want to deal with it.

Another thing, i was in the group chat with only Amanda, jennifer and i and we were talking about our task lists, and i mentioned that some of mine are still being reviewed by the sister company we work with so i was unable to get into the case/task load until i received more information. Jennifer replied “oh that must be such a hard thing to deal with and a laughing emoji. I just thumbs it up and said nothing.

I'm thinking that i should just stick to my own work and speak to nobody as now i've realized no one can truly be trusted? Not sure if this is a rant but i'm needing some advice.
