Would you be willing to give it all up?

I'm talking about modern life. Would you give it all up, good and the bad (which there is quite a lot of), for a life completely free, but also a bit more burdensome. Life to be lived with smaller communities on villages. Everyone specializing in their own local fields; one raising farm animals, other blacksmithing, one would teach kids, ect. Of course most would just become farmers. Where big companies and goverments could not control people, because no monetary profit would be made, only the essentials. Of course nothing comes without drawbacks. This would mean no complex technologies, no modern medicine, food would be more scarce, ect. But work would be with ones own rules. If you would not feel like working, you wouldn't need to. Everything would be up to you, and only you. I've been contemplating with this idea, and came to the conclusion that with right people…

I've been contemplating with this idea, and came to the conclusion that with right people besides me, I probably would swith to more simpler lifestyle.
