Curious how many other people have been in this type of situation honestly.. also equally curious is it out of line to feel frustrated.
I've worked for a company for 6 years and have been billing for them for 4 years. I'm young but have always been motivated and teachable.
The type of billing we preform is unique and not at all something you can do a course for its strictly experience. I did complete high school and after that some college.
We recently hired a lady about 10 years older than myself with no experience in this field.
As for her education she's mentioned a ged and her work experience was mostly administrative assistance type of employment. She's nice and in training with us.
She let it slip to me she's making the same amount of money as myself and that was her starting pay. My starting pay was about 9,000 less for this position..
I have worked very hard for my position and salary. During covid I left my 10 week old baby at home to come to work I was scared to death to get sick but I was needed. Our work was essential and is very important to the economy.
To have an idea of the work load I'm responsible for no less than 10 billion dollars each quarter some quarters I've totaled 20 billion.
Really have no idea how to handle this but I feel like I hold little value to this company.
