I was wrongfully terminated in retaliation yesterday from Trulieve afternoon after working a full day for them in our new SAP program. I was the first inventory control supervisor for our location, working to implement new inventory control and compliance control. I put in twelve plus hour days and worked my weekends, to the point of having no social life outside of work. I wanted to show that I wanted a career. My boyfriend also worked here, we started together on the same team (something they noted repeatedly that they do not do).
About a month in, my boyfriend required immediate emergency surgery. I was promoted, and when he was able to return, they suddenly could not "find him a position as he could not report to me or anyone at the facility". In this time, we suffered a total loss car accident, and they could not get my new pay corrected for almost four weeks. We struggled as I continued to pave my career path with a smile on my face. Finally, after three months of no work, talking with every manager, they still could not find him anything - a blatant lie, as there were plenty of things to do and people quitting everyday due to negligence by management.
We had an HR Leadership meeting with the HR VP. I discussed with him after the meeting everything that had been going on and requested a meeting with him and my boyfriend in an attempt to quickly resolve the situation and find him a position. The HR VP described our HR rep as "incompetent" for the situation. Suddenly, my boyfriend was allowed to return as a float, which they had told him was not a position they originally could give him. Evidently, this caused HR and upper management to bully him. They blatantly lied that his time cards were not correct (which we disproved), changed his in time without telling him and then wrote him up for "being late", claimed he was wandering hallways and not in correct PPE - all untrue and without proof.
My boyfriend finally had enough and sent a "Fuck You" email with a threat to contact the DOH due to product that was recently quality passed with bud rot, mold, and soaking wet. I was completely unaware of this and would not have supported this action; I was the only one consistently working and paid every bill we had. I was pulled into HR the same day and told that I was "unfit for my position". I asked for an explanation, what did I do wrong, what could I have done better? The HR rep was very red faced and refused to look me in the eyes, continuously saying "You are unfit for the position". I was fired in retaliation for my boyfriend's email. I sent the HR VP a final email with this explanation and will wait until this afternoon for a response. After no response, I will begin contacting the DOH, the DOA, the BBB, and as many wrongful termination attorneys as possible.
Oh, and also, they lurk these subs looking for employees who post here and will fire you for doing so. Expect more from me soon, I have A LOT to talk about.
