Wrongfully terminated and took them 12 days to resolve it. Should I ask for compensation pay.

I work for Amazon logistics in the sf Bay Area. One day I asked a manager if I could have the day off and he said yes and that it might show up in the system as missed hours at first and to let him know if it did. It did. But when I came back after my weekend my badge wasn’t opening the door and my account was disabled. They fired me just like that, zero notification. I called hr and called ERC and after two days of explaining my situation to multiple different people I finally got someone to just simply ask the fucking manager and of course he vouched for me. Btw ERC swears up and down they always send a termination letter via email, I don’t delete my emails, there was no termination letter. They said it would take 24-48 hours. Okay. I came in 2…

Btw ERC swears up and down they always send a termination letter via email, I don’t delete my emails, there was no termination letter. They said it would take 24-48 hours. Okay. I came in 2 more times over the next 4 days and they acted like they almost had no idea what I was talking about when I asked how the “investigation” was going. Finally, I get an email after 10 days saying that the issue was resolved and they were able to confirm my claims. Less than 24 hours later I get an actual letter of termination, dated for the day I got it. Wtf? So I go in in person and again they seem to have no idea what I’m talking about and eventually after repeating myself and explaining shit like I’m talking to toddlers, it came down to “oh well I don’t know let me ask another case manager” then I get an email the next day saying that my reinstatement is processing and I will be back on the schedule Sunday. Should I ask for compensation pay for the time I was off for no reason?

TLDR: Amazon automatically fired me with no notification for “missing” work after a manger permitted me to take the day off and it took 12 days total of re-explaining the situation to maybe 10 different people over the phone and in offices and doing all the work myself to get the simple fuck up resolved. Should I ask for compensation?
