Your biggest raise is by finding a new job

The company I work for told everyone a couple of months ago that they were not paying their staff competitively enough. So I decided to check how our wages compared to the market. Low and behold if I worked anywhere else but here I would be making 50% more. Management gave everyone about a 10% raise. But I was already job interviewing. They said we are still in line with our competitors but I wasn't really buying it. Within two months I had two offers. After the 10% raise. The first offer was 55% more and the second one which I am taking for very obvious reasons is 95% more. Both of these offers are based off of salary alone and does not include my sign on bonus or stock option plans and yearly bonuses. The first offer was with one of our competitors. Which made matters very much worse.…

So yes every two years jump ship and see how much more you'll be making.
