You’re the “young” guy of the office. You do it.
I have been at my new job for 10 months now. I work in a small IT shop of 4 people where we provide support to over 400 users. Since I’m the new guy, everyone seems to dump all the leg work on me then tell me “you’re the young guy. Go do this”. But when I bring up how I’m currently taking care of something and that someone should do it I get told to just take care of it cuz the older people in the office are older. They’re all 50+ years old but if it falls within their position description I believe they can at least lend me a hand with tasking.
Question: Isn’t getting told “hey do this because you’re the young guy” age discrimination and against the law?
Please enlighten me.
