11 hour work day with no breaks

I recently started a job at a summer daycare program. The work days are 7am-6pm. Half days are 5.5 hours each. Many of us, however work double shifts. We are not given any breaks and aren't even allowed to check our phones for the time or we are at risk of being terminated. Even if I leave early I am working at least 9 hours without any break. It's exhausting and I'm already burnt out and ready to quit. I just reached out to my boss about giving those working a double a 30 minute break but idk how that will work since we're already struggling with staff numbers.
