1) idk why, but for some reason, I see a bunch of posts from people who work outside of America saying things like “I make (good) salary, work from home, good benefits, etc and speak on those for a good 3 paragraphs just to add in at the end “is it really that bad in America?”. YES, if you haven’t noticed from the other thousands of posts here, it IS that bad here in America. Why do people come here to brag, sorry not all of us were born in your countries but sheesh, we get it, your work is not as sufferable, are you here to help or just showing off?
2) the hard truth, this sub is becoming almost a joke in the fact that time after time again we here of these stories that make us want change but us Americans do NOTHING about it. Where are the strikes? Where are the protests? Where are the lawsuits and whistleblowers? We like to complain but not willing to do any work to take up any action. Go to the city council or town hall or wherever decisions are being made that affect us. Writing a post on a subreddit isn’t going to change anything.
Oh and most importantly, stop voting the absolutely complete moronic and selfish politicians to run us. Every election cycle we shoot ourselves in the foot by electing people who don’t care and exploit us. Funny thing about democracy is, that it’s OUR fault. Don’t complain about our leaders when we put them there in the first place.
