Hiiii, I want to write a book on the dumbest stuff customer that had to said or done to me, coworkers or any customer services reps. I want to discuss on how much customer services jobs really effects the workers mentally and physically traits. I feel people don't understand how emotionally draining customer service job is. People who isn't in customer services will say that the job is too easy or find another cs jobs or you don't need to get paid that well. Other things I want to include is the value of customer services in a company. The company will say that customer services is such an important job but we don't get treated as valued employee compared to the other workers. I.E why does every other employee get unlimited PTO and cs just get the bare minimum. So, the MAIN QUESTION is what do you want to…

So I work in a unit looking after young adults. We lone work. 2 staff are off sick. My manager knows this but has extended her annual leave. She knows that if I get up and leave she will give me a terrible reference. Which in this line of work is really important. The owners of the company really couldn't care. They are refusing to get agency staff or send staff from other units. I feel so fucking worthless right now. I give my all because I care about the kids. Like I said it's not as easy as just walking out. References are extremely important. Even if I explain the situation to a potential new employer they would likely think I was lying. Somebody is meant to be coming in tomorrow to take over but I am obviously a bit paranoid they won't turn up either. In which case…
I hate when after they give you your application they hit you with those personality and work ethic tests. I'm horrible at tests. I always have been, why should those matter? (Already mentioned) Then you do the easy apply and they want you to put in all your info. I went to an interview and they wanted me to fill out their application in front of them. I've actually had a job want to know about my mental health….. I don't have any, but it wanted to know if I've ever thought of suicide? Done arson? Done drugs? Thought of self harm? Gotten into fights?…. Like, what??? Then you get the interview. The questions of, why do you want to work for our company? Tell me about yourself? I need money, I like your hours or the pay don't cut it and I hate the tell me about myself because…
Can CA employers do this?
I work full time. Finally earned enough sick time (PTO) to take 2 days off this week. Gave them proper (2 week) notice. My schedule came in this week and I'm scheduled for 0 hours excluding the PTO which is 16 hours. I'm normally scheduled for 40 hours a week. Is this allowed? It feels like a slap to the face.
Alright guys, I have a Zoom call with a company tomorrow. They advertise that they are a start up and looking to train employees for financial services. Position would be remote, they pay for any licensing required, and they have not advertised pay, though there are several positions available. Since it's a start up, I'm assuming there will be a little extra work that goes into it than usual because that's how start ups tend to work. You end up being a jack of all trades and getting your hands on some things that might not entirely pertain to your direct position until the lines become less blurred as time goes on. What questions should I ask in this half hour interview? I want to be well prepared so I don't get screwed.

I enjoy this subreddit and I also find it very depressing. What do I need to do to make America better? Or do I just accept that we're all doomed and wallow? Also like… When and how will this end?
