Given that working from home is so efficient and has become the norm, employers should pay for employees travel (if they haven’t included it in their salary already). Whether they go into work or not has no effect on the overall success of the business, their productivity or the profits of the business. This means the only person losing out by going in is the employee, so rightfully, they should be compensated for this. There is no need for most workers to go in nowadays if their type of work allows them to work from home. If this is the case then why should workers be responsible for the costs of coming into work if it is unnecessary for them to go? People could save 100’s of dollars by not travelling, yet this great push to go back into the office does not acknowledge this. And if people do need…

I dont know what happened
So I want to preface this by saying I'm one if those people who has an eccentric personality but I don't know how to stand up for myself and this is one incident where I finally tried and it failed hard. On Sunday I was st work, working an event for a big box store it's about 10am – 11am. Another co-worker and myself were working an outside tent in about 51 degrees F. It was cold to say the least. This one particular manager was arriving to work and doing her own personal thing. She ate breakfast outside and what not. It's about 11am. This manager is finally on the clock and comes outside and asks my Co worker and I how many people we have gotten to sign up for the event promo. I think it's important to note, that this is my actual job. The co-worker is…
Genuinely curious, how many resignation emails followed the dreaded return to office email in your organization?
I’ve been at my job for a little over a year. I make decent money due to it being factory work, but I’ve just been extremely unhappy with working 50+ hours a week and my body is now always in pain. I turned in my two weeks notice today and my coworkers quickly found out. They no longer treat me the same and it took everything in me not to drive off during lunch break. I’m at a loss because I could really benefit from another two weeks of pay, but I’m just so done.
No Better Than Animals.
I had someone from the group who owns the company I work for whistle at me like a dog to get my attention today. The only reason I'm not calling them out by name is because I don't want my specific location doxxed. Not any of our property's workers or management. Someone from the group who owns the entire enterprise is in for an inspection. Already been treated like crap tonight, yelled at, accused of stealing stuff, regular Monday night. This guy decides he needs to frequent our little snack bar after a night getting wasted with his friends (not allowed when staying on company business, but what do I know, I just work here.) Guy proceeds to just stand in the snack bar area and stare at me. No “excuse me, I'm ready to pay,” no communication at all. Just staring at me. I have someone else come in,…
Idk how this is going to be received here given my recent downvoted comments but I’m so pissed off right now with the assholes justifying the selfish behavior of not tipping. “The boss should pay a living wage.” Yes. He should. Absolutely. But you know the expectations when you go to that business. In the end you’re still giving that asshole money while fucking over the worker delivering your food who is stretched thin to the point they even accepted a job that relies on tips. Real protest is not giving any of your money to businesses that utilize the well known tipping structure here in the US. But that’s hard. So some people get lazy, still give the rich owners money by buying 100 dollars worth of food, then refuse to tip and say “your boss should pay better.” That’s fucked up. Support the common man. Endrant
Also, how much are you supposed to tip when you go to a bakery or pick up your take out from a restaurant and they ask for a tip? I'm always confused because I don't know what I'm supposed to be tipping for if someone gives me a cupcake from a shelf
