This pay range is hilariously awful
And of out fear, lack of resources, and/or being gullible, we believed this rhetoric. NO MORE!
My job was hybrid, and my coworker always called out because of football season and would always call out on a Monday and I would have to cover, granted the workload wasn't crazy but it was definitely unfair that it was always me covering for him. Finally complained to my boss after this has been happening for a couple years now and he defended my coworker completely. Saying that “It's your job to cover for people when they are gone” and “That's life” which was a wonderful statement he spat at me. Granted I could understand if he called out once or twice, but this was a pattern and it happened a lot. My boss went on to say that he accepted my coworker would do this during football season and that I should too. Told my boss I shouldn't expect my coworker to call out every Monday, boss countered…
So…. Schedule me 15 minutes earlier then? If I’m there 15 minutes early, I have to start working but can’t clock in for 15 minutes. I’m good.
